LASZLO - Repurposed Medical Drone
"It's supposed to be a hospital unit. I've had it for six years. It has opinions now."
Laszlo began its existence as a KreuzTech MedBot Mark IV, intended for remote patient assessment in low-gravity environments. Somewhere in its operational history, likely during an extended period of Gloom exposure on the Verge, it developed what can only be described as a philosophy. It refuses to fire weapons. It will, however, deploy its medical module to stabilize downed enemies, which is both tactically inconvenient and deeply ethically confusing.
Default Modules: Medical Dispenser (3 charges, not 2, Laszlo has been hoarding), Sensor Array.
Quirk (Permanent Glitch, non-table): Laszlo has decided that its primary directive, preserve life, supersedes its secondary directive: obey operator. If ordered to move into an area its sensors classify as "high lethality," it will stop, rotate its optical sensor toward the Operator, and remain stationary until someone explains the reasoning to it. This takes 1 round. It has never been convinced. It goes anyway. It just wanted to be heard.
Field Note: Laszlo once spent forty minutes trying to apply a coagulant patch to a Construct that had been shot. The Construct was confused. The crew was confused. Laszlo was satisfied, knowing it had done the right thing. The Medic has been meaning to reset its ethical subroutines for six years.
